58 x 85” 312 Polaroids
During my time working at Brooklyn Film Camera, I was the last set of hands to inspect and test customer’s vintage Polaroid SX-70 cameras sent for restoration from all around the world. I’d mainly be testing the camera’s photo ejection functionality, so expired film was satisfactory, even though the emulsion’s stability drastically varied with each shot. After photographing the same florescent light fixture for nearly a year, I picked up on the mundane beauty of these diagonal glowing lines and began storing away my test shots, planning to arrange them together one day. So here that is, just a fraction or artifacts in a long and intricate process of bringing these cameras back to life.
