2021-ongoing
Skyline is an ongoing multimedia project documenting my mother’s displacement off her beloved farm in Wisconsin as the corporation who owns the land develops it. Started in 2021, Skyline began solely as analog photo/video documentation of my mother, her home, visiting lovers and guests, and the pristine land surrounding us. Knowing the property’s looming fate, I’ve archived extensively during visits. Soon, forests were destroyed, barns demolished, and ground broken to begin building, just feet from our door. This is the second time my mother has been displaced from a farm as a cause of property development. The title Skyline comes from the name of the development consuming the property.
